I have been knitting this lace cardi-vest for a few weeks now. It is slow-going because I have to concentrate. I am not good at lace knitting and this one's all the more challenging because I have to decrease stitches at both ends every few rows and that makes it harder for me to see where I should be at the beginning of each lace row.
To end off, I have to include my obligatory food pic, taken with my camera phone. Ice cream, marshmallows, whipped cream and kit kat on waffles.
By the way, I've just discovered that google reader has a function under feed settings that translates feeds from other languages into my language. How nifty is that?
But it's an enjoyable knit. The yarn I'm using is rowan cashcotton 4 ply. It's a greenish-grey colour. Hopefully the 4 balls of this yarn that I have is enough to complete the cardi-vest. If not, I might have to leave out the cap sleeves.

The lace pattern is lovely, however it looks like a rather unusual waist shaping. Can't wait to see it finished.

Oh Erin, this lace pattern is so very lovely and looks especially good in your choice of colour. But it´s not true that you are not good in lace knitting, think of me and my totally unableness of lace knitting. I would have to concentrate so much on it that I would have to do it only during quiet afternoons (no talking or TV watching or even no radio sound) and even socks would need years to be finished. Love your choosen design and can´t wait to see more pictures of it.
