It's difficult to come up with blog titles these days, especially when I am writing posts made up of a hodge podge of unrelated things. So random things it is. I made a pillow cover from leftover yarn for the sofa in my daughter's room. The front is crocheted and the back is knitted in blue.
I couldn't resist a little craft shopping at Daiso this week. Linen yarn and polka dot cotton fabric (70 X 100 cm). $2 each. Don't you think the yarn colours are so Japanese?
I took up the shoulder seams in my daughter's t-shirt by about 4 inches for a better fit.
What do you snack on at home? I like steamed sweet potato. My kids prefer fruity yoghurt pops.
The best lunch I had this week was (clockwise from top left) seasoned wakame, cha shu negei don, and age dashi tofu at Aoba Hokkaido Ramen. I shared this though, because I'm trying to lose some weight so that I can fit back into my clothes :)

What a lovely post - the cushion you made for your daughters room is beautiful - I love the colours. I'd like a yoghurt pop too!
ReplyDeleteI love roasted sweet potatoes. The Linen yarn is so pretty and yes, very Japanese looking!
ReplyDeleteThe pictures are wonderful...the food always looks so perfect and makes me hungry.
ReplyDeleteLove the pillow - your daughter looks so grown up. They grow WAY too fast!!
I always love most posts with a lot of content, with various interesting-wonderful-inspiring-pretty things, it´s what makes our lives round and satisfying. You are so talented now with sewing, love the idea of changing clothes to suit you best. (I have a big pile of clothes on one chair, which I always intended to change a bit, but until now I never had the courage to do so)
ReplyDeleteThe colours of your, or better said of your daughters, pillow are very lovely and charming, love this soft colours a lot. The same with your new cotton yarn, oh so beautiful colours, it will surely be a joy to work with it.
I have never eaten sweet potatoes, must have a look next time I am at Munich to get some and then I will steam them, eat them and feel like enjoying a small piece of Asia.
And your lunch: if this is Asian diet lunch then this is surely the best ever diet in the world, looks so fresh and delicious, would love to have this diet, too.
