You know how it is like, after taking a long holiday, you have to catch up on all the work that you've missed. So I didn't have time to knit, sew or blog until now. Apologies too for accidentally disabling the comment function on my previous post. I was in a hurry to blog before getting back to work and must have clicked on something. I've enabled comments again :)
I've started the right front of my Maggie cardigan. But I have to rip and re-knit the completed left front, pictured above. The problem lies with the edge of the button band. Can you see it? Somehow, I had read the words, 'Working a picot on every alt WS row' as 'every WS row'. I was knitting double the picot edges called for in the pattern! Even though the button band looked crazy wavy, I somehow thought that it would be ironed out with blocking. Oh well, I'm going to enjoy the pleasure of knitting the left front all over again, afer I'm done with the right front.
Besides knitting, I hope to spend time with this pile of clothing that requires simple fixing, like shortening skirt hems and altering necklines and armholes to fit.

Other than kntting and sewing, I have food pics for you. My daughter and I had lunch at Ma Maison in Bugis Junction. She had Japanese curry chicken rice and I had sirloin steak. The steak was good (medium) even though they didn't ask me how I wanted it done and I forgot to tell them!
To end off our lunch I had a coffee and my daughter had chocolate ice cream.
The decor was unusual. On the wall behind our table, were pots and pans and a kitchen sink!
For the ladies who asked about the patterns from my earlier post, here are the details:

Love the pink of your Maggie, it´s such a happy colour and I am sure this will suit your black hair wonderfully. Maggie is on my list, too, for such a long time, only I can´t decide whether to make her in wool-cotton or tweed. Both versions are pretty.
ReplyDeleteAnd again those mouthwatering food pictures, one day you surely will be guilty for having gained me some pounds more. Always again when I see your pictures I have to immediately check our fridge for finding some quick lunch and it´s far away from being low-caloried or healthy!
