Back to cardis

I am still going to knit more cardis, with the ocassional pullover/sweater/jumper thrown in :) So I'm thinking about the next cardigan to knit. I like to dream about possible projects, even though I usually don't end up knitting them all.

I like the rounded drop shoulders and all that moss stitch in this simple green cardi. I have some green linen katia papiro yarn that should be the right gauge for this.

This Cardi-vest has different lace patterns on the shoulder, bodice and hem. I like the cap sleeves, the bit of lace at the neckline and the 4 buttons closure. There's some grey Japanese cotton yarn in the stash that might be suitable gauge for this.

This last one is a crochet vest. I love the styling: the huge flowers in her hair, the white blouse and brown polka dot pants!! and the sweet vintage wallpaper in the background.  Maybe I'll crochet this in greenish RYC cashcotton 4 ply.

Right now, I'm leaning mostly towards the green cardi because it looks like something I wear a lot.

  2. I love them all! I would say go for what you are sure to wear a lot... On the other hand, trying something different will be fun too. This crochet cardi would be ideal for special occasions...

  3. They are all great looking choices! I lean towards the green one, too, though - it looks really versatile. :)

  5. I love the little grey cardi/vest. Would you mind telling us where the pattern is found?
I love your photos of your trip to USA. Looks like you had a great time.

  6. All 3 cardis are very pretty, but I think I like the grey one with the different lace patterns the best. Could be worn with short sleeves under it or long or just a top and the design is so lovely. Although I am sure that the green cardigan would be the style I would wear nearly every day. And the crochet cardi looks says 'summer' to me and surely would also look lovely worn over a dress. Ah, I could imagine that this is a hard decisions which one to knit first, all are lovely and pretty, you have made a wonderful and inspiring selection.
