Zig zag stripe scarf

This scarf was finished last month but I didn't get round to taking any photos until this morning.

Pattern: Zig zag stripe scarf from Scarf style
Yarn: Rowan Tapestry 2 balls
Needle size: 4.5 mm
Started 8 Feb Finished 21 Feb
It was a fun and mindless pattern to knit but somewhere along the middle of the second ball of yarn, the knitting seemed to last forever. I think it’s called the second half syndrome, when you feel like chucking it aside to start something new. When I was blocking it, I noticed that the two ends are different. I am glad it turned out well because this is going to be gifted soon.
I have something else to show you. My new knitting organiser. I like the size. It is deep enough to fit 2 big projects in there and magazines as well. That's Alex peeking out. I have finished the front and back.
And it looks instantly organised, neat and tidy when I put the flap down.

The price was good too. It was a S$10 buy-one-get-one-free deal. Here's a close-up of the glamorous lady in the corner.

One last photo of some Chinese pastries we received from a friend. They tasted as yummy as they looked, which was kind of surprising to me because I didn't expect them to taste good. Have a good weekend!

  2. The scarf is gorgeous! Your organizer is very cute. And those Chinese pastries look so good. I can't get that kind of goodies here in the US even though New York's ChinaTown has pretty good food.

  5. Your scarf looks so nice! I get discouraged with scarves, too. They seem to take forever.

Your organizer is great, too. The flap is a wonderful idea! I'd like a big flap for my whole house. :)

  6. Beautiful scarf! It looks so pretty with your coat. I love the little lady on your organizer - she's so cute. I need something I can cover like that. Everything seems to spill out of my basket and look a little messy!

The organizer is a great idea! I like the lid to hide the stash/projects from your man :)

  8. I've had my eye on the zigzag scarf pattern too! Nice to know it turns out even better than in the picture. Of course, that may be the mad skills of the knitter...

  11. I always have second half syndrome... Love the muted tones of the scarf and talking about being organized, I badly need to do more about that, my husband can attest to it :)

  12. Very pretty colorway you chose for the scarf. Oh, I'd need at least ten of those organisers with the messy state of my craft 'corner'. :-)
